CAPPADOCIA 3 DAYS
DAY 1 :
Meet you at ANKARA hotel, or at ANKARA
Airport. Visit the Museum of Anatolian
Civilizations (the Hittite Museum, which is
housed in a restored Caravanserai), and
“Anitkabir”, the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk,
the founder of modern Turkey. After lunch,
proceed to CAPPADOCIA, where nature has
scoured surrealistic moonscape shapes, and
where during the 9th Century the early
Christians built underground churches and
cities, extending several stories below
ground. Dinner and overnight in CAPPADOCIA
DAY 2 :
Full day tour in CAPPADOCIA;
After breakfast, pick you up form your hotel
and visit the fascinating GOREME
Open-Air-Museum with its fairy chimneys and
dozens of cave churches decorated with
frescoes depicting various scenes from the
Bible, see the PIGEON Valley and the natural
Citadel of UCHISAR. Then, visit the ZELVE
Valley and the pottery town AVANOS, with
opportunity to shop for local handicrafts
like carpets, ceramics, tiles, and pottery.
Dinner and overnight in CAPPADOCIA.
DAY 3 :
Breakfast
will be served at the hotel and the morning
visit will begin with the underground city
of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu which are refuges
carved out in the early Chiristian Era as
safe-heavens from persecutors. Lunch will be
taken on the way to Ankara. After arrival in
Ankara you will be transferred to your
departure sites.
