LOCATION: A recently built, ultra romantic
retreat for style conscious dreamers and
honeymooners, Homeric Poems is a small
boutique-style hotel, decorated with quirky flair
and perched on a cliff-top terrace at Firostefani,
on the outskirts of the island capital.
HOTEL: It may be stretching a point to claim
as we do that Santorini’s sunsets are known as the
best in the world but they are certainly up with the
best and Homeric Poems has a splendid location from
which to watch them.
ROOMS: Nineteen large light apartments and
Suites open on to sky-high views of the volcanic
Caldera island and are painted in shades of blue,
blue-grey and white. Materials are predominantly
wood and stone, and colorful island textiles, used
for rugs curtains and bed coverings, soften the
look. Each apartment is different from its neighbor,
and each is a showcase for the proprietor’s eclectic
collection of antiques and found objects.
